About Us:
Young Brothers Tae Kwon-Do believes martial arts are tools to build self-discipline and good health. We believe that creating a social training environment rooted in structure is key to a positive experience. Our Tae Kwon-Do instruction is positive and filled with encouragement while knowing how to work hard. We strive for our students to grow as individuals and be thankful for what they learned along the way.
Young Brothers Tae Kwon-Do classes are unlike those at any other school. We have unmatched longevity – with over 38 years of teaching, we’re the longest standing martial arts school in the community. Despite our age we still immerse ourselves in Tae Kwon-Do – our instructors are highly involved and train on the floor every day. It’s not all for show either. We have proven results of developing our students’ techniques and helping them achieve their goals. This impact is seen within our own staff – our instructors are all former students.
Our History:
Young Brothers Tae Kwon-Do – Cypress Creek Lakes/Bridgeland owner Grandmaster McCloskey started Tae Kwon-Do training in 1977 and became a full-time instructor in 1985. Teaching came naturally to him and he was passionate about sharing his love for Tae Kwon-Do. Grandmaster McCloskey is proud to have taught over one-thousand students in the Houston area, watching them grow and frequently return to the school. Today he says he’d be lost without Tae Kwon-Do and teaching. It has kept him in great mental and physical shape. Just as he has over the past 4 decades, Grandmaster McCloskey continues to be a role model and lead his students by example.
